When I was young, I spent hundreds of hours playing make-believe with my older brother.

We would pretend we were in Naruto, Bleach, Inuyasha, Ranma, Pokemon, and even Beyblades.

By high school, anime became a daily ritual — keeping up with the latest seasons, hunting for new stories to dive into. A new volume of manga would flood my brain with joy, and I spent late afternoons watching movies alone, amazed at how many incredible stories I’d missed as a kid.

When time came to “grow up”, I went to school to be… an actor— and my lifelong obsession with stories only grew deeper.

Obsession became curiosity, which in turn became a voracious need understand this thing that I loved. I started studying narrative structure, writing ambitious projects, and delighting in the few scripts I could truly call “finished”.

Over the past twenty years, storytelling has become more vibrant, diverse, and complex than ever before. We are in a Golden Age of Creativity, and small artists have the tools to create big waves.

A dialogue is happening: We’ve seen new stories emerge, rise, and reach glorious crescendos— paving way for the stories of tomorrow.
